If you’re not part of the Sherlock fandom you should just skip ahead because this will all seem very silly to you. But I made a fic-rec post, prompted by, of all things, my boyfriend, who wanted to know what I got up to all the time.
Oh, this is weird, people I know IRL will probably read this. IRL friends, go read something else. Okay. The backstory is that I kept putting off showing Boyfriend any fics because I was like, well, one wouldn’t really represent things I’m reading necessarily, I don’t know what you’ll like, etc. Then he threatened to just look up random fics if I didn’t show him any. So I’ve made a list of everything I like, figuring that if something isn’t to your taste, perhaps some of the other fics will redeem me. And then I spent way too long putting this list together and commenting it and whatnot.
But I think that all these fics are pretty awesome, and perhaps people interested in fic recs will enjoy this, even though a lot of fics have been written since I started this list and I am not-so on top of things anymore (although I do update this every time I find a fic I love, so… yeah!) They’re also divided into handy little sections by genre, so you can know what kind of fic you are getting into, and I’ve also got some basic descriptions so you can avoid certain pairings/ratings/etc. (Also, all gen is squint, in my book.)
Porn (assume all of these are NC-17)
- F’ing Cake by random_nexus. - The longer it takes me to compile this list the more awkward I feel about this being the first link, because people who ignored my warning about being part of the fandom are going to come here and click on it. So, warning: this is crazy and ridiculous, alright? But it does involve having sex with a cake without being completely ridiculous, and find it worth reading just for that reason. J/S
- Teacher, Teacher by anon. - I have a mad teacherstudent kink. Although even in the version where John is the professor and Sherlock is the teacher, it’s still Sherlock who’s pushing for vaguely noncon sex. S/J
- A Thorough Examination by anon. - Fucked up and non-con but sort of sort of has a happy ending. Involves evil john, unsuspecting sherlock, and a lot of medical implements. Uhhh… I feel like I should add that it’s really really really wrong and has a ton of warnings before I rec this, so you know what you’re getting into. But it just sends delicious shivers down my spine, too. S/J
- L’instinct Suffit by the lovely kate_lear who has a couple of fics in here. - I have a crazy voice kink, and so when you put together the dark, rich, smoothness that is Benedict’s voice and then you give it French… well, let’s just say this fic is the reason all the French I know is inappropriate. S/J
- Whirlwind by rubyofkukundu. - University-age hookup! It’s just so them, but younger. I guess I’m drawn to younger-aged fics because I’m still pretty young and so can find it hot without feeling creepy and cougarish? AND there’s a new supercute porny fluffy sequel, All That Life Can Afford, cross-listed in fluff! S/J
- Untitled erotic humiliation fill by lilapaddy, who is quite talented. - Exactly what it says on the tin, I’m kinky as fuck, etc. S/J
- Self-Service by calico. - This isn’t actually in line with my headcanon, but the descriptions are hot as all hell, and it’s certainly fun to envision one’s self in Lestrade’s position… L/S/J
- Silence in the Library by anon. - Mmmmmmf what hot Holmescest. I suppose I should warn that this contains incest. But if there’s any pair of siblings who are strange and don’t care about society enough that I can see incest going down between them and not being bothered by it, it is definitely Sherlock and Mycroft. S/M
- Undercurrents by entagled_now. - All you need to know is that this fic contains the line : ‘ “John,” Sherlock says quietly. “John, if you want me to stop - if you want to get up, you should do it now.” ‘ . It is also not super fetishy, as that line could imply, and also there is a great piece of fanart for it. S/J
- Watching Me, Watching You by anon. - Another incest warning. “Because the image of Mycroft dressed in his suit, unbearably hard but preferring to sit comfortably and enjoy the show before thinking about his own needs? Yeah, that is hot.” M/S/J
- Boyfriend, you have read the rest of the porn-category fics, but they are still ones I’d recommend so they are part of this list.
- The Comparative Uses of Semaphore and Foghorns as Communication Devices in Manoeuvres Naval and Sexual by Pyjamapants. - because there is never enough Sarah/John/Sherlock and we’ve all read Lorum Ipsum.
- The Pleasure-Dome Hotel by raiining.- ufnffffffffffffffhhhhhhhhhnggggghghhggghdhhfdffffffff. Takes place in the everyone-is-a-sub-or-dom universe (if you don’t know the universe, it’s basically what it sounds like), and is… intense. Deliciously so. S/J
- Untitled werewolf fill by anon. - John is a werewolf, and keeps sneaking off during the full moon because he doesn’t want to hurt Sherlock with the fuckingamazingawesomedominanthungry sex he wants to have that time of the month. Silly John, Sherlock’s figuring it out. S/J
Long/Complex plot, usually also with sex (but lovely, plot-backed sex!)
- The Cornish Horror by finangler. - This is the first Sherlock fanfic I read and it was lovely. It’s based off of an original Sherlock Holmes story and so has a fascinating plot, renewed by the excellent way the mystery is tied into the BBC ‘verse. The characters aren’t quite in line with my headcanon but the way their interactions are woven into the storyline makes this fic read like a fourth episode of Sherlock. S/J NC-17
- The Empty House by _doodle. - Ooof. This one is intense. Covers Sherlock’s three-year absence and the aftermath. So many emotions. This just rips your heart to shreds and then slowly, painstakingly pastes them back together. It’s also not my headcanon, but it is still such a good read. S/J NC-17
- The Heart in the Whole by verityburns. - I am a little embarrassed about this one, because even though there is plot and intrigue and whatnot, this is really just a romance novel in fanfiction trappings. Which is fine. Romance novels can be excellent. But I am just usually not the kind of person to read romance novels, and so reccing this fic feels like being caught in the pantry eating an entire chocolate cake. It’s unhealthy but oh so delicious. Wow, I haven’t actually said anything concrete about the story. S/J M
- Monster by moony. - This is not that long of a fic but it seemed to fit in this category, probably because it is also emotionally intense and fulfilling, and the characters are written very well. Sherlock has to join Moriarty in order to take him down, except no one’s sure which side he’s on anymore. S/J R
- Shift by messageredacted. - No romance, but I thought the mystery in this one was pretty cool! And, of course, John and Sherlock are still the best of friends, *insert theme song here*. PG-13
- Cu Sylvatica by sprl1199. - Sherlock and John investigate a complex mystery whilst trying to come to terms of the events in TGG. If that’s not enough, everyone seems to expect Sherlock to join Moriarty, and Sherlock’s not sure they’re wrong. This fic hits all the right spots. S/J R
- and ohmygosh there is a sequel! Knot Theory by sprl1199. This author seems to be super amazing at casefic, and this definitely delivers as a sequel, though I think I like Cu Sylvatica better.
- Toxicology by one_windiga. - I love this fic, and it’s John/Jim. That’s got to be the highest recommendation I can give any J/J fic- that it comes off realistically, and I really enjoy it. J/J R
- A Very Cold Case by sagestreet. -There is a beautiful mystery in here, well-placed in Russia and well-researched and embedded in the humanities, which is just lovely. And it’s got so many music references! And what sweet fluff. Sweet, I think that is the word that best describes this fic. It’s like a sonata. S/J PG
- 26 Pieces by lanning. - So this one is recent but managed to fall across my radar and ohmygod I am in love with this piece. Mycroft is pretty in line with my headcanon in this one. And everyone gets a chance to be superbadass, and I love watching people be superbadass, but also it is just very well-written and captivating. There is some gore, if that’s not your thing, but I think this fic does it well and not too squeamishly. S/J R
- Apotheosis by 10leaguesbeyond. - Instead of Sherlock disappearing, pretending to be dead and hunting down Moriarty, it’s John. And he’s a BAMF and a total military spy dude and this is awesome and has all the appropriate feelings involved and yay. S/Jish R
- Infiltrate (tear down the walls and the gate) by mirrorskippy and ladyflowdi. - Oh, wow. Long (very long) and gory and intense and crazy and utterly engaging. Rather dark with lovely personality and so many feelings and just very beautiful. Has two sequels and (Life is) A Series of Risks is linked to in the last entry in the angst category so please don’t just go clicking it without knowing what you’re getting into. S/J NC-17
- A Study In Winning by jupiter_ash. - So, I love tennis, and this is a Sherlock and John are pro tennis players AU. And oh my god, how wonderful it is. And the sex. And the sex involves French. And there’s masterful suspense involved during pretty much every match, I am on the edge of my seat the whole time. And then there’s IRL fluff when it turns out the author secretly knew the OP but kept it a secret. And then there’s Sherlock fluff when AHHHH YOU WILL JUST HAVE TO READ IT IT IS SO GOOD! S/J NC-17
Unfinished but good + worth reading
- Before the few WIPs, I just want to say that there are other really good WIPs out there as well, I’m just terribly impatient and hate waiting for things so I generally don’t read them until they’re finished. But sometimes you stumble upon something and then you realize it’s brilliant and then you realize it’s not done and it’s still super lovely and you want to put it on your fic rec list.
- School for Scandal by rubberbird. - An all-boys’ school teen AU. As I mentioned before, I’m young and so can read young-AU stuff without feeling like a cougar. But also, I was in high school not that long ago and so am quite close to the experience of having a high school relationship, with its passion and insanity and innocence and awkwardness and influxes of hormones, and hiding said relationship (my parents are a bit conservative). But that’s just why I might particularly like this. It is also a likeable fic because it is just wonderful, and because young Sherlock and John are just adorable and I want to hug them ahhh
okay just read this, I’m not being articulate. S/J M - Two Two One Bravo Baker by abundantlyqueer. - Sherlock and John meet in Afghanistan AU. Full of adventure and intrigue and BAMF-ery and hot soldier loving. This fic is love at first sight, and I know that I am by far not the first one to have this reaction. S/J Explicit
- Performance in a Leading Role by madlorific. - I am
kind ofobsessed with this fic. It’s absolutely BEAUTIFULLY written and is terribly compelling, and even beyond all the loveliness that comes from it being a brilliant fanfic, it’s also set in Hollywood and the author has a lot of background knowledge, so you get a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to work in the film industry. Also gets points from me for ACCURATE BUTTSEX (the author knows what she’s talkin’ bout!) S/J NC-17.
Fluff
- Impact by elfbert. - GOD IT’S SO CUTE this is basically what sold me on Mycroft/Lestrade. Mycroft/L Explicit
- The Art of Scheduling, or, How Mycroft Came to Realize He was Well and Truly Fucked by igrab. - I love how confident Anthea is, and I love the idea that this carries over into how she conducts her love life. Argh also this is terribly cute. Mycroft/A PG-13
- The Theory of Narrative Causality by aelfgyfu_mead. - So, one should have at least a bit of familiarity with the kinkmeme to read this, but I am only a casual onlooker when it comes to fandom and don’t know much about the fandom beyond the BBC ‘verse and I still thought this was amazingly cute, probably because I’m a nerd. Prompt: “Sherlock is a well-known fanartist whose online antics always land him on fandom_wank. John’s a beloved BNF fanfiction author. They meet at a convention; geeky love ensues.” Geeky love, guys! S/J PG-13
- Winter’s Delight by kate_lear (remember her?). - Christmas and fluff and more fluff also, Sherlock has a huge family so it’s one of those large family gatherings which always seemed fun to me because I was never tight with my not-so-large family but aside from my desires for the perfect holiday, anyone can enjoy this perfect perfect holiday, and this fic is so fluffy it is pretty much made of meringue. S/J R
- and, it also has a remixed version, No Bed is Narrow by innie_darling, which is the same story but just as delicious and totally refreshingly different, told from a cousin’s point of view. I love this fic so much because the original characters are so captivating and lovely in their own rights and I want them to be happy andthey are because it’s fluff. OMC/OMC with background S/J R
- The Whore of Babylon was a Perfectly Nice Girl by out_there. - Fluffy fluff and Sherlock being very Sherlocky and particular, which is always fun. Also meets with the Sherlock-had-a-lot-of-cracked-out-sex theory, of which I am a bit of a fan. S/J Explicit
- Untitled Fill by mesmiranda. - Fem!John never thought she was pretty. This is just unabashed and makes me feel fluttery inside, because who doesn’t feel like that/love feeling beautiful? Also, Joanna is my favorite fem!John name. S/J PG
- The Breeze Deep on the Inside by seren_ccd. - Aside from Sherlock and John being destined for each other, I will ship pretty much anyone with anyone if it is written convincingly, no matter how weird, because I just want everyone to be happy. Molly/L PG-13
- Before and After by sc010f. - “Molly Hooper, queen of the pity-fuck.” Molly/Lestrade again! I am surprised by how much I like them when they get together out of cynicism and general fun. Molly/L R
- Somewhere, Something Incredible by anon. - Short and sweet, the fluffiest of Mycroft/L. PG
- and stand there at the edge of my affection by anon. - Sherlock is writing a love letter oh god I just want to explode into a fury of kittens and bunnies when I read this. S/J PG
- Acts of God (Sherlock) by thehoyden. - This is (gasp!) a just-friends fic. I am only reccing like 3. BUT IT IS CUTE. G
- When first we practise to decieve by anon. - Mycroft tries to uphold the fiction of ‘a minor position in the British government’ as he gets closer to Lestrade. Oh dear, the fluffiness. Mycroft/L PG-13
- Blood from a Stone by mariana_oconnor. - Sherlock gets cursed and must feel the emotions of those around him. The pain of empathy! And of course, there’s this weird feeling he gets around John and he’s not sure what it is… this is everything promised by the prompt I just gave you. S/J NC-17
- Those Pages by s0mmerspr0ssen. - Library AU, where John is a homeless ex-serviceman and Sherlock is a librarian. It’s cute. There are books involved. I have a fondness for books and libraries. I have been describing too many fluffy fics in a row and am having problems describing why I like things. S/J R
- Late Night Calls by anon. - Scroll down past the first response to this prompt before the less-than-ideal-formatting of the first one turns you off the page. Lestrade calls his own voicemail and Mycroft listens and cares, in his own, sweet, slightly-stalkerish way. It’s full of such fluff and promise! And this only covers how they meet! Mycroft/L PG
- There Is A Crack In Everything by morelindo. - F to M trans Sherlock fic- ahhh just a small piece of fluffiness, light like a praline or something. Yes, I describe fluff like desserts. S/J PG-13
- A Slowly Dawning Attraction by mitsuaraki. - fluffy fluffy fluff. I actually like the earlier parts the best, where things are just beginning to be realized and it’s all very sweet. S/J PG-13
- 34 Minutes by bendingsignpost. - Because I like intimacy and experiments. S/J PG13
- The Yearly Revolution by anarmydoctor aka Rosalia. - There are some lovely parts in this fic that are just delicious to savor. of science and poetry, which is to say that it is based in science and I love it and it is so Sherlockian and accurate because of that and yet it reads more like poetry than prose and so pretty much my heart is incredibly won over by this.
- The Blog of Eugenia V. Watson by madlorific who is an amazing fic writer and wrote that WIP I love and who also wrote a piece of angst I refuse to read - but this is fluffy fluffly FLUFF and FLUFF and MORE FLUFF and thenabitofangstbecauseplot and then FLUFF oh my god. I had heard of this fic but I had avoided it because of its premise (it is a kidfic), which was a mistake because it is so incredibly fluffy and full of happiness and compelling and lovely and also has a family that is genuinely honest and happy and rather like one I would like to have some day. S/J is involved, PG-13ish?
- There Aren’t Enough Scoundrels In Your Life by raggedyhipster. - I am kind of required to rec this short fic because it references Star Wars and is cute and I am a sucker for both of these things. S/J PG
- Genius Loci by
anonSilver Pard. - This should really go in the ‘other’ category, but it features my OT3: Sherlock/John/London. From London’s perspective. And it meshes prose and poetry and that is possibly my greatest weakness and this is so beautiful. Wait, I also found it under the name Living Lore by Silver Pard but that version is on ff.net and doesn’t have the font and color changes, so oh well. PG-13 - As a Bat by derwafflemesser. - John/Lestrade? Yes, when it’s super cute and fluffy and about how Lestrade is too vain to wear his glasses. J/L PG-13
- And the marshmellows wept, for they saw they knew neither fluff nor sugar by jbs_teeth - I’m a sucker for Christmas fics oh god it’s so fluffyyyyy I can’t even

- Red Sky in Morning by impishtubist. - I am usually not a Sherlock/Lestrade person, but this was so sensible about it, somehow, that I was alright with this fic. S/L NC-17
- Explosions, Literal and Otherwise by starjenni. - This is a great piece to read after some angst that didn’t resolve properly, because this… this resolves. and it’s wonderful. and Sherlock cares about John awwwwww <3 <3 <3 Gen PG-13
- Don’t Judge A Book By Its Cover by archea2. - I was predispositioned to like this fic, because it is a crossover with Fahrenheit 451, which might be my favorite book ever. And if that’s not convincing enough, it’s really sweet (in an aww way) and it’s short and it’s about books and Sherlock learns something in it. AND reapersun did fanart for it what. Gen PG
- All That Life Can Afford by rubyofkukundu. - The sequel to Whirlwind, this fic delivers: really hot phonesex, cuteness, young John and Sherlock totally being themselves, porn, not-sure-how-we’ll-make-this-work-angst, porn, cuteness. S/J NC-17
- The Deepest Secret Nobody Knows by lmusic. - Okay, so this is rather angsty, and deals with when Sherlock is returning from his absence, but it does resolve- not fully (can it ever fully be resolved?) but meaningfully. (Oh man, I just noticed that one could read it meaningfully and it would be a play on words, and now we’re just going to pretend I did that on purpose.) S/J NC-17
Fun
- Wait, Michelle, what does ‘fun’ as a category mean? In this case, ‘fun’ means fics that make me incredibly lighthearted and want to giggle, but not because they are romantic- because they are, well, fun. So this is a slightly different category than fluff.
- The Dangerous Book for Boys by orange_crushed. - A quite young AU (middle school?) where John’s mother died early and Sherlock and John attend school together. Sure, there is a bit of cute romance, but the adventure and mystery are just like the childrens’ detective novels I used to read while younger, and it’s lovely. S/J PG-13
- and its sequel, Harry Watson Investigates also by orange_crushed, which is totally adorable and just so much fun. Harry, G
- Ridiculous by kate_everson. - As the title suggests. John is a top hostage-extractor, and well, you can guess the hostage. S/J PG
- Because You’re Worth It by anon. - A date with Lestrade is sold off at a police auction. Muahaha. Mycroft/L PG
- Semper Fidelis by Blind Author who is an excellent writer and is mentioned later for her Republic of Heaven series - John and Anthea get framed by Moriarty and then BAMF their way out of the situation. Not quite done, but it’s in its conclusion part so there’s no terrible cliffhangers. J/S, A/Mycroft, but not really about romance. NC-17
- Planet Sherlock by pir8fancier. - This is actually about sex, but it’s fun sex and not so much sexy sex, so it’s in fun and not porn because that is why I read it. YMMV. J/S NC-17
- All’s Fair by carolyn_claire - Lestrade is being particularly stubborn. J/S PG-13
- Until I Wrap Yourself Inside My Arms I Cannot Rest by kaalee. - Sherlock wants to buy a gun. This isn’t really fluff, but it’s not exactly indulgent fun either- it’s just what it is, which is an interesting fic. J/S light R
- The Adventure of the Six Painted Virgins by saathi1013. - A great mystery, although the fanart at the beginning will make you think it’s an amazing work of porn. Actually… I might recommend that fanart all by itself in a different category. S/J NC-17
- A Study in Blue by writingispurdy. - Jazz Age AU. I usually hate fics that go over the events of any of the episodes, because they’re so true to the episodes that I get bored. This is the first fic I’ve read where I wasn’t bored at all, because the age the author creates is so very lovely, and there are enough changes to keep you on your toes. Also, the descriptions of Sherlock playing the violin…. J/S PG until the very end, which is PG-13
Angst
- I am kind of particular about angst. For instance, as mentioned before, I refuse to read Alone on the Water. So things recommended here make your heart hurt like hell, but generally (!) have some hope involved, or at least some sort of resolution that doesn’t feel okay but doesn’t leave me bawling like a baby because I am very emotional and I try not to do that any more than necessary. But they will still make you ache, deep inside your chest, and want to possibly cuddle lots of puppies or lock yourself in a dark room for days.
- Have you heard about the Morstans? by sunken_standard - John and Molly enter a witness-protection-program-thing. OH GOD SO INEVITABLY SAD AND YET DELICIOUS with sort of a vague happiness at the end. Molly/J R
- and its companion, Along Came Molly, also by sunken_standard, which is from John’s perspective. Also delicious and sad, and by delicious and sad I sort of mean that moment when you are crying but also you realize your tears are salty and taste delicious and are somehow so satisfied by it. Also resolves at the end S/J R
- Share and Share Alike by anon. - lovely and asdfljs;alfkjs;dlfjk J/Mary, J/S PG-13
- The Heart, and Other Fleshy Organs by stickstockstone. - Years after he decided it wasn’t worth holding onto, Sherlock finds someone to give his heart to. bawwwwww. The style of this is super-intriguing… sort of like a Tim Burton film? Not the best description, but it’s one of the heart-external-to-the-body fics, check it out. J/S PG-13
- Sink Like a Stone by as_i_am. - Aftermath of the pool fic. Ahhhhhh angst angst angst so much angst but it’s cute too? I don’t want to describe it too much I don’t want to give anything away. J/S PG-13
- Waking You Up by brbsoulnomming whose screenname I find super awesome. - Has a happy ending! Like, a real happy ending. But still, the angst. J/S PG-13
- I Meet You There, and We Go by irisbleufic. - Don’t delve into the sequels, that way madness and sadness lies. I think this piece is wonderful and stands on its own, a beautiful mix of life and death. S/J R
- For Me It Isn’t Over flecalicious. - Another Just Friends (tm) fic! This is the best John/Mary I’ve ever read. Also, it is incredibly sad. J/Mary, Sherlock PG-13
- In the Land of the Blind by entangled_now. - A really awesome concept that just creeps up onto you and is very cool. And there is some angst. Okay, quite a bit of angst. But some hope, too. And some dubious science, but that’s in the warnings so that’s okay! And it’s just very beautiful. J/S-ish R
- How John Watson Comes Home by et_in_arkadia. - This… this is just beautiful and sad and for some reason when I read it it makes me feel less like this is based in the BBC verse; I think it has to do with the dialogue, which is lovely and I guess feels slightly formal to me. J/S NC17.
- Tick Tock, Tick Tock by lotherington. - All of my feelings about this fic can basically be summed up in the emoticon T-T. doomed J/S R
- (Life is) A Series of Risks by mirrorskippy and ladyflowdi. - Oh, my heart. My aching, bleeding heart. Sequel to Infiltrate (tear down the walls and the gate) and just as intense except in the heartbreaking (heartdemolishing) sense. And it hurts it hurts it hurts. It deals with the three years (yes, those three years) and they have a child at the time and oh my oh my oh my I don’t have words. S/J Explicit
Other (I guess what this really means is that these are all interesting AUs)
- Reading this over, my most-used word in this section is ‘interesting’, but that is why this is the ‘other’ category, I guess, because they’re all interesting and cool ideas and I am tired and want to publish this so I’m not going to fret about it.
- Seems So Easy for Everyone Else, by etothepii who you are about to see a lot of because I love his AUs - F to M trans Sherlock and just really interesting and focuses a lot on Sherlock’s family life. PG-13
- When I Look In The Mirror I See Double, by etothepii - Mycroft is also Anthea, one person in two bodies. This one is just so curious, a really awesome concept that actually led to me having a dream in which I and John Watson were one person in two bodies, which I think might have been my mind’s premise to allow me to date my boyfriend and Sherlock at the same time. M/J R
- Say My Name, by etothepii - Anthea is face-blind (she can’t recognize faces). I didn’t know this was a condition, but it is very cleverly implemented here. A/J PG-13
- I Used to Live Alone Before I Knew You, by etothepii - Good Omens crossover, although I have never experienced Good Omens but find sort of religiousy heaven-hell fantasy absolutely awesome. S/J PG-13
- Fates Alive fill by anon. - John does magic weaving things. This is more cool for the world-building than any actual story. PG-13
- A series that is a crossover with the His Dark Materials series also by etothepii, where Sherlock is Mycroft’s daemon (daemons who take a human form, as you might remember, are pretty much nonexistant) and the situation is just so interesting and also sex: Asteroidea PG-13, Highly Intelligent, Observant, and Destructive When Bored J/S PG-13, and Feels Like Drowning M/J/S (but it’s not incest, remember!) NC-17
- The Republic of Heaven by blind-author, so complex and good!! also a WIP :( whoops I guess this is in the wrong section, but I wanted to put the His Dark Materials crossovers together. Anyway, this is a His Dark Materials crossover.
- The Everyone-is-a-sub-or-dom AU original series, by etothepii, which is not exactly about sex (although sex is involved, obviously) and more about lifestyle, is also interesting: you need someone (but it won’t be me) S/L R, it’s easy to trust someone who won’t break you J/S unfulfilled NC-17, and everything you won’t tell me J/S NC-17
- The Anatomist by rosa_acicularis - I loved the ideal of Mollyarity so much that I wanted Gatiss to go back and re-do TGG to include it. And ooh, this is dark and delicious. Molly, R
- my body when it is with your by 10leaguesbeyond (from Apotheosis) - AU: John is a werewolf! And Sherlock is psychic! Also, it is Lupercalia (the time when the werewolf takes a mate)! And this leads to the usual hijinks/also crazy love and sex and stuff.
- The Physics of Present Tense by paxlux - I can never figure out where to put Mycroft/Sherlock, because it’s never ever fluffy but a lot of the time it’s not angsty either. It’s just unique, like them, and lovely, like them, and this is long long long but also methodical and unfolding. M/S Explicit
- Sherlock’s Moving Castle by parachute-silks. - Because you know that crossover works so well. S/J PG
- Equivalence by introductory. - Anthea is genderfluid, and it’s wonderful, and this fic has a remix remix Distinction by lizzledpink, which is also superlovely and from Mycroft’s point of view. A/M PG-13
Phew. Okay. I did it. This should hopefully keep you occupied.
